PLAY AND LEARN SESSIONS
Some 2 year olds are entitled to funded hours referred to as ‘Play and Learn’ sessions. If you qualify, your child could receive 15 hours per week (term time only), or ‘stretched’ to 11 hours per week over 51 weeks. More information is available here.
For children aged 3 and 4 years.
Early years funded entitlement is also available for all children from the school term after their third birthday, until they start school. This can also be taken as 15 hours per week (term time only), or ‘stretched’ to 11 hours per week over 51 weeks.
If you work you may be able to claim the 15 hours extended entitlement hours (commonly referred to as 30 hours as this is an extension of the 15 universal hours). These combined hours can be taken as 30 hours per week (term time only), or ‘stretched’ to 22 hours per week over 51 weeks. Visit childcare choices to see if you are eligible and apply online.
